La Dolce Vita – a Celebration of Italianness

Architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni, in the context of Italy being a worldwide trendsetter and leader in design, had once stated: "We have more imagination, more culture, and are better mediators between the past and the future."

Since 2011, Milan Design Week (Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone) has been a core part of how we have taken the unique quality of modern and contemporary Italian design and culture to the Indian design community. We marked this connection with an exclusively curated and intimate evening at the heritage ballroom of The Bangalore Club, on the 15th of November 2022.

The theme was La Dolce Vita. Italian for 'the sweet life', a sentiment intrinsic to Italian culture. That of living life to its fullest. And so, we explored Italianness through key personas and ideas in Art, Design, Music and Pop Culture – with an ambience, dialogue, live music, wine and a touch of cuisine to celebrate them all.

La Dolce Vita in ART, for it is first born in the pleasure of what we see.

La Dolce Vita in DESIGN, of how the good life is experienced in good design - of objects and of spaces.

La Dolce Vita in MUSIC, for the sweet life is in what we hear - in harmony, in music.

La Dolce Vita in POP CULTURE, an idea in timeless entertainment, leaving a mark on global popular culture.
