Milan Design Week 2024 continues to push the boundaries of creativity as we embark on Day 5, a celebration of design innovation at its finest. Today, our attention is drawn to pioneering design concepts, captivating new collection launches, and immersive multi-sensory installations that inspire and amaze us. Here's a closer look at the highlights from the day.

A novel design by Reflex. A compact remote-controlled bar cabinet featuring a removable top that doubles as a convenient tray.

Calligaris

Simply Sofas team in the company of Mr Alessandro Calligaris, President of Calligaris, at Salone.

Calligaris brings retro flair into the modern bedroom with their new JILL bed - a contemporary revival of 70s design. This piece is a sumptuous masterclass in comfort, enveloping occupants in a plush, incomparable embrace thanks to its soft padded upholstery.

NicolettiHome

NicolettiHome's booth at Salone featured a huge digital display at the entrance, grabbing visitors' attention with its eye-catching visuals. This captivating portal sets the stage for the innovative designs waiting inside.

Alf DaFré

Alf DaFré's 'Golden Room' where every fixture and furnishing emanates a warm, radiant glow, bathing the entire space in a refined golden embrace. From the meticulously curated lighting to the lavish upholstery and accents, this booth is a breathtaking homage to timeless opulence.

Ezpeleta

Ezpeleta brings relaxed elegance to living spaces with their newly launched Noon chairs. Featuring a refined aesthetic and offered in a palette of soothing hues, these pieces evoke a sense of timeless sophistication.

Natuzzi Italia

Natuzzi Italia unveils two remarkable additions to their lineup. The Melody sofa redefines modular seating with its fluid, curvilinear form that exudes spontaneity. Meanwhile, the Couture armchair captures attention through its sculptural circular metal base that anchors the piece's deep, enveloping seat and backrest. Designed by Manzoni & Tapinassi, these pieces embody both style and comfort.

Connubia

Designed by Archirivolto for Connubia, the Abbey chair is a statement piece that refuses to be an afterthought. Crafted from 100% recycled polypropylene, this innovative chair boasts a perforated gradient backrest, and a stackable design, making it perfect for outdoor use.

Google

‘Making Sense of Color’ is a sensorial installation by Google where synchronised sound frequencies transform the visual experience, thus creating a captivating interplay between sight and sound. A must-see for those intrigued by design innovation and the profound influence of colour on our sensory experiences.

Grohe

Grohe Spa's immersive installation blends nature and architecture, creating a sensory journey focused on water. Conceived by LIXIL's in-house Global Design and Brand Identity team, it pays homage to the building's history while showcasing Grohe's "Salus per Aquam" concept. Highlights include the innovative "Aquatecture" areas demonstrating how integrating water into architecture enhances well-being.

Young designers take the spotlight at SaloneSatellite with innovative creations. Gabriela Kawinska presents a modular coffee table inspired by Pinocchio, while Zhen Bian of Studio Ololoo wins the SaloneSatellite Award for an inflatable lamp. In the designer's own words, "Easy to disassemble: in 5 seconds and it doesn't take up more space."

Lasvit

Lasvit's Re/Creation, a monumental outdoor fused glass installation designed by Maxim Velcovsky, redefines the relationship between glass and architecture.
